Poise

Poise is a bookshelf in a state of equilibrium. All of the shelves are balanced off of eight points on the corners of the outer frame. Being tied into each other, the pressure of the wires on the shelves ensures that they stay constantly in place. This shelf is balanced in such a way that if it were turned upside down or on its side, all parts would maintain their position.
